While Frank and Lisa Forrest are shopping at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, an ancient scroll is dropped into Lisa’s tote bag. They take it to the local authorities who aren’t interested, since no theft report has been filed. They are told to keep it as a souvenir. But, upon returning to their home in New Jersey, strange things begin to happen.

With the help of three professors at Columbia University, they discover their artifact points to a copper scroll, which could reveal the location of a great treasure. Under the watchful eye of the Turkish government, Frank and Lisa search underground cities and caves in Cappadocia. Intrigue and danger await them every step of the way.
