Donna M. Carbone, the owner of Write For You, LLC, is a published author/screen and stage writer/publicist. Her column, The View from My Pedestal, appeared for five years in The Beacon Magazine. Her insightful editorials and opinion pieces appear in well-known newspapers and magazines. She is a frequent contributor to the Jupiter Courier.
Since her daughter’s kidnapping and rape in 2007, she has been an outspoken voice for women’s rights. She is the co-founder of feelnoshame.org, which offers support to survivors of assault. She also writes a monthly newsletter – The View From My Pedestal – dedicated to keeping women safe in an ever increasingly dangerous world. Donna also advocates for better healthcare programs for veterans. Her stage play, Shell of a Man, the true story of one man’s 40-year battle with PTSD, was presented at the Dallas Convention Center under the auspices of The Black Academy of Arts and Letters and in Florida at the Vanilla Box Theatre. Her latest play, Women, Wisdom and Wine, is under consideration by theaters in New Jersey and Florida.
