Are you in need of a beta reader on a budget? Hello, my name is Amy, and I would love to work with you on your next novel. I have over three years of experience beta reading and proofreading for various USA Today, New York Times, and International Bestselling Indie Authors. I am affordable with quick turn-around time, and I also provide proofreading for a reasonable additional charge if interested.

I use track changes in Word to provide constructive critique and suggestions as I read, as well as providing you with a multi-page beta report when done. My beta report will include feedback on plot, characterization, dialogue, believability, inconsistencies, and any other issues that I may find.

I also provide proofreading for a slight additional charge if interested.

I read Fiction specializing in, but not limited to: Romance, Mystery/Suspense, M/M, M/F/M, M/M/F, Paranormal, Rom-Com, New Adult, Dark Romance, and Dystopian.

Please allow approximately two weeks for a full-length novel for turn-around time. Note, this time can vary depending on the length of your manuscript.

Services:
     1. Beta reads (this is a manuscript read-through, where she can answer questions about how a reader might perceive the story, and while she will give notes and ideas on rewrites, she won’t make any actual changes to the manuscript),
     2. Developmental editing (which works more with filling in plot holes, crafting characters to be more well-rounded, building a stronger world, etc.)
     3. Content/line editing (this is the smaller stuff only, such as correcting punctuation, typos, grammar errors, ensuring consistency in spelling and terminology, etc. Authors will use this if they want NO major changes and feel that they are ready to publish).

Lydia will edit any genre. So far, she hasn’t found a genre that she can’t or won’t edit.

She also formats manuscripts for print and for eBook, and partners with a graphic artist for anyone who might need assistance with cover art.

Lydia is open to payment plans and is more than happy to speak to interested authors and hash out the details of their project. Pricing depends on the length of the novel, the type of editing that the author wants, and how quickly she can work through the novel.
